After the Kuffner ridge, conditions are perfect for another mixed route. We head to another part of the range, the « Jardin de Talèfre » and we’ll sleep in the famous Couvercle Hut.
This route is a long traverse of summits along a ridge with 800m on our left, 500m on our ridge. Nothing difficult but very impressive. Good thing that the conditions are great, that the snow is frozen so we can move safely.
Les Courtes are a challenging summit and this is the easiest route to reach the top. Thierry is in a good shape and we managed to come back around noon at the hut (we woke up at 2!!). We still need to walk back down to Chamonix, a 3-4 hours walk on the Mer de Glace glacier…
